SERVING UP GOOD ADVICE

- WITH GLYNIS NUNN (OAM)

Olympic champion and Executive Director of Gold Coast Academy of Sport glynis@goldsport.com.au SPEAKING about role models, the Gold Coast Academy is proud to introduce a new sport under its banner.

We are extremely pleased to have joined with Paul Hanley Tennis to conduct a Tennis Camp in December.

Head coach Paul Hanley held the world doubles ranking of No.5 in his career. He won 26 ATP doubles titles and was a Davis Cup player.

Paul also represented Australia at the Olympics and was a Commonwealth Games gold medallist.

With such credentials, young players can expect excellent coaching and advice on how to improve their skills and get a headstart in their development.

The camp, which is open to players aged 10 to 16 years, is on from December 17-20 at the Southport State High School tennis courts.

Activities begin at 8am and go through until 2pm.

Over the four days, Paul would like to help young aspiring players to bridge the gap between professional coaching and National Academy coaching.

The camp is a great way to learn skills and basic movement patterns from qualified players and coaches.

Young players will also learn nutritional guidelines along with goal-setting, how to recover from training and competition and how to move and be agile on the court.

As there are limited numbers, please do not hesitate to contact Paul at info@paulhanleytennis.com or contact the Gold Coast Academy of Sport.
