Industry mourns Nolan
THE Queensland racing and breeding industry is mourning the death of Basil Nolan Jr, who was killed in a farm accident on the family’s Raheen Stud near Warwick.
Nolan, 45, was the son of Queensland and Australian Thoroughbred Breeders president Basil Sr and his wife Di.
He is survived by his wife Natalie and four children. It is understood Nolan was baling hay when the accident happened on Tuesday night.
Godolphin Australia manager and former Magic Millions managing director Vin Cox said it was “absolutely tragic news”.
“Basil Jr is one of the best people on the planet,” he said.
