STOPPING COTTON’S SILKY SKILL

- GREG DAVIS

BRISBANE sharpshooter Cam Gliddon says keeping Wildcats star Bryce Cotton under wraps is the key to success in Perth tonight.

Cotton’s 28 points guided the Wildcats to an 88-73 win in Perth in Round 2.

However, in the Round 3 rematch at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, the Bullets upped the defensive pressure on the NBL MVP and kept him to 17 points in a stirring 100-96 victory.

That was the leagueleading Perth’s only loss of the season so far and they will host third-placed Bullets at RAC Arena tonight with buoyant Brisbane coming off back-toback wins over Adelaide.

Gliddon was the star of the 93-90 triumph over the 36ers with a last-second threepointer in Adelaide on Sunday to collect a career-high 30point haul.

He said negating the influence of Cotton was the top priority for the Bullets.

“It’s just about making Cotton and (Terrico) White as uncomfortable as possible and making it a tough night for them,’’ Gliddon said.
