TODAY: ESE tradewind swell. Slower sets around 2 to 3ft exposed beaches, gradually fading into the afternoon. Grading smaller inside the points and bays with size depending on exposure. WIND: Early light WSW to SSW inshore, tending light ESE, then ENE 5 to 15 knots during the arvo.

TOMORROW: Rejuvenate­d E tradewind swell around 2 to 3ft exposed open breaks, grading smaller inside the points and bays. WIND: Early light and variable land-breezes tending NE around 10 knots, a little stronger in the afternoon.

FRIDAY: E tradewind swell continues to range from 2 to 3ft exposed open beaches, grading smaller in the bays and along the points. WIND: Early light N to NW, tending NNE to NE 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Scope for a southerly change moving up the northern NSW coast later.

SATURDAY: Faded E tradewind swell 1 to 3ft exposed beaches, grading smaller elsewhere. WIND: Early lighter SSW inshore, tending south, then SSE to 15 to 20 knots.

SUNDAY: Smaller E tradewind swell superseded by rising SSE windswell. Around 2ft+ exposed beaches early, bumping up to 2 to 3ft during the afternoon. Mostly smaller at 1 to 2ft inside the points and bays. WIND: Early light SW/SSW, turning SE 10 to 20 knots.
