WINNERS Calzini (Race 3)
Was backed like the good thing of the day with Ladbrokes. He made his own luck right on the speed and he was dominant when he was let loose at the top of the straight.
New Horizons (Race 9)
Has been excellent since he joined the Chris Meagher stable. He always travelled like the winner and the son of Frankel is capable of recording more metropolitan race wins.
LOSERS
Miss Fraser (Race 1)
It was a tough start to the day for punters. There was plenty of money for Miss Fraser but she proved to be disappointing. She overraced early, never settled and had nothing in the tank when she was asked for an extra effort.
Tell Everybody (Race 7)
There was support for her all day with Ladbrokes but she produced a flat performance. It may be a while before she starts a short-priced favourite again.
NEXT TIME Holbrook (Race 1)
Riseupskating and Holbrook put a serious gap on the rest of the field in the opening race of the day. Connections will be frustrated by the fact that Holbrook has now gone 17 race starts without a win but a maiden victory is surely just around the corner.
Joymaker (Race 5)
Joymaker was gallant in defeat and it took Winning Ways the majority of the straight to run her down. Joymaker has raced well without winning during this preparation and she is a filly with more talent than her current record suggests.
Boomtown Lass (Race 7)
Has now recorded three placings from her four race starts and was only narrowly denied by Dream Serenade on Saturday. This is a race that really could have gone either way and there is no doubt that Boomtown Lass will be very tough to beat wherever she has her next race start.
