MARKETS A COAST MUST-DO

-

MARKETS can be found in nearly every corner of the Gold Coast, and they are excellent places to find those special items.

We don’t just have quantity – we have quality here too.

The weekend markets are varied and fun, perfect for a day out for the family, or as a romantic couple or simply for hunting around solo for some good stuff.

On Saturdays there are the Palm Beach Farmers Markets, a good place to grab local fruit and veg.

You’ll find about 80 stalls there, other staples such as honey, jam and bread too. the market is open from 6am until 11.30am.

Once you’re done there, Carrara Markets, the city’s largest, beckon. These markets have absolutely everything, from fresh veggies to junk food to artwork to plants and lots more.

Open until 3pm, you’re sure to enjoy meandering through the maze of stalls. And if you didn’t have enough on Saturday, the Carrara Markets are also open on Sunday.

Speaking of which, the market scene intensifies on a Sunday, with the Bundall Farmers Markets at HOTA and the Organic Farmers Markets at Miami open from 6am to 11.30am.

And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also night markets to check out.

Running for more than two decades, the Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets includes a group of core stallholders showcasing woodwork, baked goods and pet supplies.

Situated right outside Cavill Avenue, it’s the perfect place to go for a shop and to catch the sunset as purple and red hues take over the sky in he west.

The night markets are on from 4pm until 9pm.
