Dignified donation

GOLD Coast charity Friends with Dignity has donated 60 backpacks filled with lunch boxes and stationery for children affected by the Townsville floods.

Brisbane-based Graceville Fine Foods and Deli owner Wendy Cox, organised a truck with food supplies to donate to those in Townsville.

The Gold Coast charity jumped on board to help out, using excess supplies from an earlier Back to School Drive.

Friends with Dignity director Julie McKenna said: “I thought this was a perfect opportunity to provide our excess backpacks, lunch boxes, drink bottles and basic school stationary to those children in Townsville.”
