SOVEREIGN STUNNER SELLS FOR $7 MILLION
A HAMPTONS-INSPIRED mansion on The Sovereign Islands has fetched $7 million after hitting the market almost 200 days ago.
A Chinese buyer from New Zealand plans to use the lavish four-storey property as their holiday home.
The deal is the secondhighest sale inked on the Gold Coast this year after the $7.5-million sale of a Broadbeach Waters mega mansion last month.
Amir Mian Prestige Property agent Ivy Wu said the seven-figure sale of the waterfront home at 45 Knightsbridge Pde West set a record price for a house on a single block on
The Sovereign Islands.
“The buyer walked in and said ‘wow’, they fell in love with the property and its one-of-akind entrance,” Ms Wu said.
“It has a grand entrance with 13m-high ceilings and a chandelier.
“And the buyer loved the top level entertainment area.”
The property hit the market in August with a $8.5-million asking price.
Previous owners Gary and Tina Brewster purchased the 742sq m block for $1.34 million in 2011 before transforming it into the ultimate dream home in 2017. It was completed early last year.
Mr Brewster, a builder, designed and built the home while his wife was responsible for the interior.
With a no-expense-spared approach, the house features five ensuited bedrooms plus a top level main bedroom, a home theatre, gym, steam room and a bar and lounge area that overlooks the rooftop heated pool and spa. A 10-car basement garage, lift, pontoon and multiple outdoor areas to capture stunning views of Broadwater and Hinterland are also part of the property.
