BUYER SPLASHES $8.25M ON MAIN BEACH BEAUTY

-

A LUXURY Main Beach penthouse has jumped into Gold Coast real estate history books, breaking multiple property records.

The $8.25 million deal marks the highest sale so far this year, bettering the

$7.5 million paid for a Monaco St mansion in January.

It is also believed to be the third-highest apartment sale and highest beachfront apartment sale on the Coast.

The two-storey residence topping the boutique Sea building sold last week.

Marketing agent Michael Kollosche, of Kollosche, confirmed it was under contract but declined to comment until the sale was settled.

The skyhome, which was designed by acclaimed Gold Coast architect Bayden Goddard, features marble, limestone, travertine, timber and stone throughout, with floor-to-ceiling windowframe ocean views.

It has three bedrooms, a study, four bathrooms plus a powder room and an open living area that extends on to a travertine tiled terrace.

Owner Louis Zenonos developed the eight-storey building on Main Beach Pde and moved into the skyhome not long after construction finished in March last year.

“It’s something very, very special,” Mr Zenonos told the Bulletin in January.

“(It’s) directly on the beach at Main Beach, which is very sought after.

“When you’re lying in the main bedroom, it feels like you’re lying in the water.”

The property hit the market this year with a $9.75 million price tag before it was dropped to

$8.95 million last month.
