INTER PAIR ADDED TO TOP COAST SELECTION

- BRENT O’NEILL

WORLD football giants Inter Milan will send senior figures to the Gold Coast in May as part of the International Football Coaching Conference Australia.

With a host of local and international coaching, development and technical specialists already locked in for the May 25-26 conference at RACV Royal Pines Resort, 18-time Serie A champions Inter are the latest to confirm their attendance.

The conference will focus on delivering cutting-edge insight, research and approaches used by the world’s leading clubs and associations, with Inter Academy technical director Marco Monti and academy coach Benjamin Musci to give delegates an insight into the methodology used in their renowned youth program.

The pair will be joined at the event by Socceroos coach Graham Arnold, who will host a Q&A session for delegates, and former national teammate Craig Foster, while Porto’s Vitor Matos and former England manager Hope Powell will also take part.

“The standards of our training methodology are very high,” Monti said.

“The experience we have in youth football and the successes we have achieved were the reason why we decided to share all around the world what we do at our academy in Milan.”

Musci will join Monti at the conference to demonstrate Inter’s youth philosophies.
