GOLD COAST WRAP WITH LADBROKES’ TOM HACKETT

-

WINNERS

Removal (Race 1)

Punters had an excellent day at the Gold Coast and Removal got them off to a flyer. High Cost took up the early running but Removal always looked the winner and was far too in the concluding stages.

Winning Ways (Race 2)

Winning Ways was settled at the tail in the early stages but it was still a very easy watch for punters that took the short odds on offer. She cruised to the lead at the top of the straight and Michael Hellyer was very easy on her in the final 150m.

Conquering Judas (Race 3)

Ladbrokes took a host of very big bets for Conquering Judas and he won as easily as was expected. He did a fair amount of work to find the front in the early stages and was challenged by all three of his rivals coming around the turn, but he stormed clear in the final 200m.

Shijin (Race 8)

Shijin capped off an excellent day for favourite backers with a win in the final race of the day. Shijin did a fair amount of work to take up the running, but it proved to be a winning play and she was far too good for her rivals.

LOSERS

Super Kids (Race 7)

It was a very ugly watch for punters that backed Super Kids. Super Kids clearly hated the very heavy track at the Gold Coast and he was simply never able to get into the contest. It would not surprise to see him improve significantly in his next race start on a drier surface. NEXT TIME

Gun Bolt (Race 2)

Gun Bolt was no match for Winning Ways but still produced a credible effort. He did a fair amount of work in the early stages and beat all other runners by more than eight lengths.

Buckets Of Pride (Race 4) Buckets Of Pride may have been beaten, but she lost no admirers in what was a tough effort. She did a little bit wrong and was caught wide for the majority of the race, but still found the line strongly to be only narrowly denied by Winning Shot. They put a gap on the rest of the field and a maiden race win looms. BIG BETS
