GROUP 1-winning sprinter Aclaim is one of three new stallions added to Aquis Farm’s roster for the upcoming breeding season.

The Prix de la Foret winner will stand at Aquis Farm’s Canungra base while dual Group 1-winning sprinter Brave Smash (Japan) and I Am Invincible’s Group 2 Skyline Stakes-winning son Santos will stand at their Hunter Valley base in NSW.

“Aquis and Phoenix Thoroughbreds have developed a strong relationship in the Australian market recently and we’re delighted to bring Aclaim to Australia,” Aquis chief executive Shane McGrath said.

“Queensland breeding is synonymous with speed sires and in Aclaim, we are introducing a world-class Group 1winning sprinter with a pedigree that resonates with breeders and he is by one of the most potent speed sires in the world.

“I personally inspected Aclaim in Newmarket and was overwhelmed by how good looking he is.

“Aquis and Phoenix Thoroughbreds will heavily support the horse in the barn and the ring.”

Aclaim will stand at $13,750, Brave Smash will carry a fee of $22,000 and Santos’ price tag sits at

$16,500.

Aclaim, who was bred and raced by a partnership which includes Queensland-based farm Canning Downs, was a winner of his only start at two before proving himself topclass at three and four, winning the Group 1 Prix de la Foret over 1400m in France, as well as the Group 2 Park Stakes and the Group 2 Challenge Stakes in England over the same distance.

Aclaim is out of a half-sister to champion two-year-old filly and dual Group 1 winner Again and hails from the family of champion sire Montjeu, who is responsible for over 125 stakes winners worldwide.

The progeny of Acclamation, the sire of Aclaim, include Dark Angel, who stands at a service fee of $135,000 in Europe.
