New app guides you through NDIS journey

- Bluecare.org.au

BLUE Care has launched a free NDIS planning app to help guide people through their NDIS journey.

Daniela Kerr and her son Harrison, pictured, have been among the first to use the app.

“Like many parents we are juggling work, school and children, but in our family, we also have to cope with applying for the NDIS,” Mrs Kerr said.

“Planning on an app means all our paperwork is in one place and we can go in and update information at any time during the day.”

In addition to helping people prepare for their first NDIS meeting, the app can be used to track NDIS goals.

It also allows participants to upload documents or photos to demonstrate their progress towards each of their goals.

Mrs Kerr said she encouraged others who were about to embark on their NDIS journey or those who were struggling to keep on top of annual plan reviews to consider using the Blue Care NDIS planning app.

“Look at the planning app because it’s certainly going to make your life a lot easier in preparing for your journey and your planning meeting,” she said.

“If I didn’t have the app, I’d be going in to my meeting only half organised and forgetting all my paperwork.”

According to Blue Care’s website, the app also allows users to collaborate with friends, family or support crew.

“This will be particularly helpful if you have lots of people in your life who support you, but you control how much access they have,” it says.

The Blue Care NDIS planning app is available through the Google Play and Apple app stores.
