Sets ranging from 3 to 4ft across northern NSW south-facing beaches, wrapping more like 1 to 3ft along Qld open beaches, inconsiste­nt in the upper range and smaller the points and inside the bays with size depending on exposure. WIND: Early WSW to SSW 5 to 10 knots, turning SE/ESE up to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon.

TOMORROW: Leftover South groundswel­l rapidly fades. Sets ranging from 1 to 3ft across northern NSW south-facing beaches, mixing with smaller Easterly swell up to 2ft along exposed Qld coasts, grading to tiny levels along the points and inside the bays. WIND: Early light WSW to SSW tending SE to ESE 10 to 15 knots during the afternoon.

FRIDAY: Background South groundswel­l. Ranging from 1 to 2ft across northern NSW south-facing beaches. Scope for a minor increase in ESE swell along exposed Qld beaches during the day; otherwise tiny to near-flat along the points and inside

the bays with size depending on exposure. WIND: Early light East to light WSW to SSW at 5 to 10 knots, tending SE/ESE 5 to 15 knots in the arvo. SATURDAY: Potential for slight Easterly swell around 2ft across exposed Qld coasts, mixing with background South swell at 1 to 2ft across northern NSW coasts and grading to tiny levels along the points and inside the bays. WIND: Early light Westerly to SSW 5 to 10 knots, tending SE to ENE 5 to 15 knots.

SUNDAY: Speculativ­e potential for slightly larger Easterly tradewind swell. Up to 2ft+ exposed Qld coasts, mixing with background S swell at 1 to 2ft across northern NSW southern exposures, otherwise grading tiny along the points and inside the bays with size depending on exposure. WIND: Early light WNW to NW, tending North to NE 10 to 15 knots in the arvo.
