UPON ousting Campbell Newman, Anna Palaszczuk supported Adani against the howls of protest from the Left led by Jackie Trad.

So to placate this tantrum the CST was subsequently torpedoed with the discovery of a nesting tern on environmentally ‘sensitive’ Wavebreak Island, a man-made island.

Thus a $7 billion investment in jobs and infrastructure for the state was sunk by craven Labor politics.

Now due to the utter rejection at the Federal election of such scams, Palaszczuk has had a sudden epiphany on the road to next year’s State election.

And, surprise, surprise, the black throated finch found right across northern Australia and easily bred in captivity is not such a hurdle after all.

Voters at the next election will remember Anna and Jackie’s jobs destruction in pursuit of inner city Greens preferences. Good. ADRIAN NEYLAN,

READING between the lines it is increasingly becoming obvious what the real cause of the Adani mine project delays.

The CFMEU, a union that instead of being for the workers is really just a arm of the Labor party, has been using the Queensland government to stop the project.

Our puppet premier has changed horses midstream in a bid to save her job and the unions don’t like it.

Fun times ahead but let’s hope sanity prevails and the mine gets the go ahead providing much needed work and royalties for our once great state.

ANNABEL Crabb writes in a recent article on the ABC News website about how little things have really changed after the last election.

She’s absolutely right because the Morrison government has gone from a “two seats too little” minority government to a “two seats more” majority government.

There is no guarantee yet that they will have a majority in the senate either so the victory may well be Pyrrhic.

The economy as well stays much the same.

Despite intending to be apolitical the Reserve Bank governor has given the Liberal Nationals a huge free kick by delaying action on interest rates before the election.

After the election he has to strengthen the lowering bias with a forecast of two or three cuts within the year despite interest rates being at record low levels.

Lowering interest rates further will probably have more effect on retirement incomes than any of Bill Shorten’s supposedly punitive taxation measures would have done.

What’s more if you read Keyne’s General Theory at this stage in the cycle further interest cuts will do little to help the economy.

The only thing which is helping the economy at the moment is the still high immigration number; maintaining GDP.

KEN W you are quick to assume you know anything about me aren’t you ,but then again, you are great at running off at the mouth on .every subject ever mentioned.

I am not a greenie, have no time for greenies and do not believe in Global Warming/Climate Change, regardless of what they want to call it.

I do however, want to continue breathing and a major contributor to that being possible, is through the continued growth of plantlife and trees, both of which are being decimated in this country to the detriment of all living creatures, humans being just one of them.

There are many factors in this country showing that it cannot sustain the population or quality of life we have at present, if immigration is allowed to continue, so cap the population.

It is said we have 50 homeless per 10,000 in Australia and we all know that there are literally thousands of homes boarded-up where these people could be housed but are not, proving we don’t need to build new homes for the homeless or anyone else so why the constant raping of our forestation for the creation of smaller and smaller blocks of land squeezing people in like sardines, causing more and more social problems to boot?

It’s proven time and time again that Australian politicians (irrespective of the party) are failing everyday Aussies as it is, without devastating what nature provides as a means to sustain that life and the constant land clearing is not the way to go.
