1. cameron Munster 8 Looked the most dangerous Maroon from the outset. Menacing in attack.
2. corey Oates 5
Provided the forwards relief by taking on hit-ups down the middle in their own end.
3. Moses Mbye 4 One of the quieter players for Queensland but didn’t do too much wrong.
4. Will chambers 3 Dropped the ball after a good run in the first half and a poor defensive read let Tedesco in for a try in the second.
5. Dane Gagai 4
Provided grunt with footy in hand and battled on after getting a knee to the ribs.
6. corey Norman 7
Not fazed by Origin arena. Nice grubber to set up first try and overall kicking game good.
7. Daly cherry-evans (c) 7 Imposed himself in attack, often popping up at dummy half and strong in defence.
8. Joe Ofahengaue 6 Played his role. Didn’t need to set the world on fire. Put his head down and tackled hard.
9. Ben Hunt 7
Sharp out of the ruck and provided good supply to his forwards and halves.
10. Josh Papalii 8 Enormous. Led from the front in both attack and defence. Scored a deserved try.
11. Felise Kaufusi 6 Crossed for team’s first try and continued to probe. Dropped ball 30m out from own line.
12. ethan Lowe 7
Built for Origin. Relished the physical nature of game and looked good with footy.
13. Josh McGuire 7 More disciplined and took on a lot of the running load. Gave Maroons a sniff of victory with a second-half try.
14. Michael Morgan 4 A calm head in the middle off the bench but his night ended when he ran into the forearm of Josh McGuire 47 minutes in.
15. christian Welch 3 Missed a tackle to concede a try late in first half.
16. Tim Glasby 3
Was unsighted for most of the game.
17. David Fifita 4 Got his chance when Morgan’s night finished. Did his role.
