LOT OWNER HOPES TO SCORE BIG WITH SALE

The buyer of an Oxenford block could have the Titans as its neighbour, with the NRL outfit having submitted proposals for a clubhouse

THE owner of a large parcel of land neighbouring the proposed Titans NRL Club in Oxenford is cutting ties with the prime site.

GC Urban Pty Ltd, linked to Geoffrey Benson and Graham Thomas, subdivided the 9209sq m parcel at 4-6 Narracort Place into three lots.

It is selling the largest of the three lots, which spans 7247sq m, and occupies a corner position at the end of the culde-sac and fronting Old Pacific Highway.

CBRE’s Kyle Youngson, David Corke and Steve Clark are acting as marketing agents in an auction campaign ending on August 22.

Mr Youngson said the owner has been granted a material change of use for the site, which can be used to develop medical, office, showroom and retail projects.

A proposal from the owner, which has not received development approval, shows a three-level commercial building on the site.

“This position in the heart of the Gold Coast’s growth corridor with amenity and visibility to the M1 will attract a lot of developers and end users,” Mr Youngson said.

Mr Youngson said the proposed Titans Club is on the other side of Doris Gibbs Court. A development application was filed with the Gold Coast City Council for the clubhouse, earmarked for a 2.2ha site, late last year. The proposal includes a 2500sq m club with dining area, bar, gaming room, outdoor dining space and kids playground.

An auction for the lot at Narracort Place will be held at the CBRE offices at 50 Cavill Ave at 11am on August 22.
