TODAY: Background SSE swell drops near flat. Far northern NSW goes slow with 1ft sets across south-facing breaks. Southern Qld is generally flat under 1ft. WIND: Westerly, WSW 10 to 15 knots during the morning, turning light S during the afternoon.
TOMORROW: Potential for selective southerly swell. Far northern NSW: Possible bump of 2ft surf south-facing breaks, otherwise wrapping at more like 1ft+ elsewhere with size depending on exposure. Southern Qld wrapping at 1 to 2ft into exposed beaches and tiny to near-flat along open beaches and along the points and bays. WIND: SSW 5 to 10 knots, tending SE 10 to 15 knots.
FRIDAY: Southerly swell fades with possible underlying ESE sets. Far northern NSW: Sets ranging 2ft across southfacing breaks, easing in the afternoon, with size depending on exposure. Southern Qld: Around 1 to 2ft along exposed open breaks, tending smaller inside the points and bays. WIND: Variable, calm to light SE early, tending NNE 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon.
SATURDAY: Inconsistent ESE groundswell sets with possible S windswell late. Northern NSW: Occasional sets ranging from 2 to 3ft+ along open and exposed breaks, grading smaller 1 to 2ft elsewhere. Southern Qld: 2 to 3ft+ open beaches and occasionally 2ft in points and bays. WIND: Early NW 10 to 15 knots, tending W before a southerly shift to S 20 to 25 knots late afternoon.
SUNDAY: ESE swell easing with possible new S swell development. Far northern NSW: S sets building around 2 to 3ft+ on exposed areas, tending smaller in points and bays. Southern QLD: 2 to 3ft along the exposed beaches and grading smaller inside points and bays. WIND: S 15 to 20 knots, tending SSE during the afternoon.
