TEXT: WHO NOSE COKE INFORMER?

-

CLAIMS by some St Hilda’s School parents of recreational drug use by a clique of some families has sparked a “witch hunt” for those speaking out.

The matter had been raised with staff by some shocked parents and another parent was planning on removing her daughter from the school because of it, the Bulletin reported yesterday.

But in one mass group text – obtained by the Bulletin yesterday – a mother posted a link to the article and said: “Who the heck gave the media this story and can we ban them from all our parties?”

Another mother told the Bulletin yesterday: “Everyone is a little panicked I think.

“I think it would make people think twice about being so obvious about doing things like that.”

Another said parents in the group text leaked to the Bulletin were hoping to narrow down who spoke out in yesterday morning’s story.

“I personally haven’t seen it but I imagine it (recreational drug use) happens elsewhere,” the mother said.

“What they don’t realise is everyone is talking, which is how things like this get out. It is never only one person.”

In the Bulletin story yesterday, a parent said: “To say my child goes here, runs in these social circles and drive the same sort of Range Rover – that is what some people pay for.”

According to some parents, all eyes were on Range Rovers pulling up at the St Hilda’s school dropoff yesterday morning following the claims of an underbelly among some of the elite social circles at the school.

Other parents have denied any personal knowledge of the drug use, suggesting it would be prevalent in all similar social circles and not just St Hilda’s mums.
