As I’ve spent all my life in Palm Beach I can’t wait for the tram and development to continue. Jobs and housing for our kids! The stretch from Burleigh to Currumbin is an eyesore now. When stuck at any of the lights on the GC highway you get a view of asbestos plagued dumpy beach shacks! All I ask for is parking per bedroom not per unit. We need to improve transport and infrastructure so bring it on! Oldgrey1

When I go to the shops, I buy what I desire. It’s not a lucky dip. Why are charities different? If I donate money to a cause, I expect it to go to that cause.

Again the tarring & feathering of baby boomers. Males bashing their partners – you must be joking. My father never told me to obey my husband. Both my husband & I grew up in that era & to this day have not known of any of our extended family, or friends, who have bashed their partner. We were taught r-e-s-p-e-c-t (to people & property) something sadly lacking today, & to take responsibility for our own actions & not blame others.

Every year the Army deploys to Outback communities to literally build towns for indigenous. Maybe this year Defence could use those skills and funding a little more south and rebuild the towns lost to bushfires.

There would appear to be one hell of Qld/Gold Coast wish list. Possible Olympic Games, CST, another M1, trams to Burleigh & beyond plus additional parking at stations etc. Unless a fairy princess is going to donate billions of dollars some of these will not be happening in the near future. PT
