TODAY: ENE trade wind swell ranges from 2 to 3ft across exposed open beaches, grading smaller inside the points and bays. WIND: Lighter SW to NW 5 to 10 knots inshore early, tending Northerly, then NE 5 to 15 knots in the afternoon.

TOMORROW: Slow fading ENE trade wind swell continues around the 2ft+ mark across exposed beaches, otherwise ranging from a junky 1 to 2ft elsewhere and grading smaller inside the points and bays. WIND: WNW to NW 5 to 15 knots, tending NE in the afternoon.

THURSDAY: Slower ENE windswell hovers around 2ft along exposed beaches, otherwise smaller elsewhere with size depending on exposure. WIND: Early light and variable tending ESE, Easterly up to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon.

FRIDAY: Slight, short period ENE trade wind gradually picks up. Ranging from 1 to 2ft across exposed open beaches, up to 2ft later, mixing with background South swell at similar levels across northern NSW coasts. Otherwise grading smaller inside the points and bays. WIND: SSW to SSE 5 to 10 knots early, tending ESE during the morning, then Easterly, ENE and freshening to 10 to 15 knots in the arvo.

SATURDAY: Scope for rejuvenate­d ENE windswell. Speculativ­ely 2ft+, building towards 2 to 3ft across exposed breaks, otherwise grading smaller elsewhere with size depending on exposure. WIND: Possible light and variable inshore early, otherwise East to NE 5 to 10 knots, freshening to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon.
