ACADEMY GRATEFUL FOR THE SUPPORT OF KEY BACKERS

-

HERE at the Gold Coast Academy of Sport we have been fortunate to have sponsorships from many groups.

We understand that our sponsors want a “return on their investment” and so we work hard to provide this by:

Promoting our sponsors at every opportunity.

Acknowledging our sponsors in our communications, eg newsletter and website.

Inviting our sponsors to our events and to give prizes at awards nights and afternoontea functions.

Keeping our sponsors informed about our activities being conducted.

Acknowledgment on our information app to athletes and parents.

What is important for potential sponsors to know is “how much is sponsorship going to cost and can they afford it?’’

Is it in their commercial budget? What is the broad coverage of their coverage through association? Is it tax deductible?

This is why many sport organisations have levels of sponsorship.

The Academy has a number of partners and sponsors that offer us different supporting structures.

We are grateful to them for their continued support from our inception in 2009.

The Carbine Club of Queensland offers a bursary for an emerging talent while there is a budget also in the academy to help those athletes who may not be able to afford the program cost, to come into a particular sport on different a subsidised level. The Academy is grateful to the following sponsors: Gold Coast City Council, Chempro, RACV Royal Pines, Southport Sharks, Magic Millions, Allsport Physiotherapy, All Sport Travel, Cambio, Hart Sport and Spot productions.

All offer either monetary or VIK (Value in Kind) sponsorship to the Academy as a whole or to specific sports programs.

We are only able to operate because of our sponsors.

Our athletes are the beneficiaries of sponsors’ generosity and as they continue their athletic careers.

Just like me, GCAS athletes will remember and be appreciative of these sponsors’ contributions to their successes in the future.

As we have returning sponsors and through our discussion with them, we believe that our sponsors believe that they get value from their association with GCAS, and that’s what every sponsorship/partnership relationship should be a win-win.
