Agents close deals in uncertain times

- JANELLE ESTREICH

GOLD COAST property agents continue to seal hefty deals in the wake of coronavirus-induced restrictions announced by the Federal Government last week.

Despite the suspension of public gatherings for on-site and in-room auctions and group open homes, local real estate agents have adapted quickly to maintain sales.

The Sanctuary Cove home owned by Amazon entrepreneur Adam Hudson and revamped by celebrity agent Andrew Winter went unconditional last Thursday.

Amir Prestige agent Charlon Delos Angeles sold 7394 Marine Dve East for $3.09 million in conjunction with Katrina Walsh of Harcourts Coastal.

The riverfront home was secured by a Melbourne couple who were impressed by the renovation.

“They had looked at a lot of properties asking premium prices, but they felt like they had seen the same home over and over,” said Mr Delos Angeles.

“This was something they hadn’t seen before.

“They loved how clean the renovation was and the fact that it took risks, as opposed to the white-on-white-onwhite they had seen elsewhere.”

In Broadbeach Waters, Daniel Perry of John Reid Real Estate sold a new-built waterfront home at 10 Lakeland Key for $2.6 million.

From the coast to the Hinterland, a prestige acreage at 18 Grosvenor Court,

Worongary attracted an unconditional cash contract for more than $1 million last Tuesday, when the new restrictions were announced.

Mitch Harrop, of LJ Hooker Robina and Varsity Lakes, said 27 groups inspected the property and multiple offers were made in the seven days leading up to the sale.

“It was really positive to see people coming through the property even with all the panic around coronavirus going on,” he said.

In Helensvale, a fourbedroom house at 24 Saltwater Tce sold for $1.06 million while 19 Champagne Blvd sold for $1.045 million, both handled by Harcourts Coastal agent Sally O’Neill.

In a record sale for a single block in Clear Island Waters, 37 San Simeon Dve sold for $3.88 million in a deal handled by Ray White Broadbeach agents Sam Guo and Julia Kuo.

The dynamic duo also sold 22 Binda Place, Sorrento for $1.63 million and 28 Charolais Cres, Benowa Waters for $1.25 million.

On the northern end of town, two properties changed hands on Gracemere Circuit North, Hope Island.

Professionals – Vertullo Real Estate agents Nikki Dunlop and Mark Carew sold No.2595 for $3.975 million and No.2580 for $3.475 million.

“The price on 2595 was the highest under the hammer in Hope Island,” said Ms Dunlop.

“We’ve listed several new properties in recent days so people are still selling.”
