Kisukano a chance for Doomben
KISUKANO could have another Brisbane start before making her way south.
Trainer Michael Nolan said part-owner Peter Reeves wants him to nominate for a QTIS 2YO Fillies (1200m) race at Doomben on July 25, which is worth $73,000 to the winner.
“Peter was of the opinion we put a nom in for the 1200m race and have a think about it,” he said. “They want to nominate and play it by ear.”
Nolan said if she ran in Brisbane, he would have to consider using a claim, particularly if she was handicapped beyond 62kg.
Nolan is excited at the prospect of travelling interstate, saying Kisukano is the first horse good enough since Chakvetadze ran second in the 2010 Millie Fox Stakes at Rosehill.
