Cameron happy in Lions’ den

- MARCO MONTEVERDE

THE Brisbane Lions are poised to re-sign star forward Charlie Cameron in the face of lucrative offers from at least three Victorian clubs.

Cameron is contracted to the Lions until the end of next season but reports earlier this month suggested he could be tempted to accept a big-money offer from a Victorian club.

However, it’s understood the Lions are extremely confident of keeping the 26-yearold small forward long-term.

Mount Isa-born Cameron has indicated he was in no rush to leave Brisbane after joining the club in 2018 from the Adelaide Crows.

“I’m happy here at the moment,” he said.

“I’ve just got to worry about playing good footy and enjoying my time with the boys.

“I’m loving my footy up here at the Lions. I guess the weather’s beautiful as well, so I can’t complain.”
