Elevating over-50s living on the Tweed
OVER-50s living on the Tweed will be taken to a whole new level at an exclusive boutique lifestyle resort, GemLife Tweed Waters.
The resort, set in a premium position with direct waterway access, brings a fresh, innovative offering to the over-50s’ market with a focus on exceptional design and creating an idyllic lifestyle experience for homeowners.
GemLife Tweed Waters will feature just under 100 homes and a stunning modern waterfront country club with an impressive array of firstclass fitness and leisure facilities, including a rooftop swimming pool.
GemLife director and chief executive Adrian Puljich said the gated lifestyle resort would bring together luxurious lowmaintenance living and premium facilities that let buyers downsize their responsibilities and upsize their lifestyle.
“GemLife Tweed Waters will deliver the best of over50s living with cleverly designed, modern, open-plan homes together with fantastic recreational facilities,” he said.
The architecture of the resort’s two-storey country club will feature a sleek, coastal look with references to southern Californian midcentury modernism, adapted to reflect the Tweed’s unique surroundings.
Incorporating a coastal material palette including stone and louvred feature walls, and interesting use of timber, the club wraps around the waterfront to maximise a northeast aspect.
“With GemLife Tweed Waters, great design has remained front and centre of the vision for the resort in order to create modern, stylish yet functional spaces,” Mr Puljich said.
Facilities in and around the country club include an outdoor yoga studio, bar and cafe, gym studio, outdoor lounge areas, fire pits, barbecue facilities, cinema, a creative arts space and much more.
“The resort’s fantastic location on the water ensures residents can also enjoy the activities the area is famous for such as fishing, boating and water sports,” Mr Puljich said.
“GemLife Tweed Waters will offer over-50s a terrific lifestyle in an in-demand area well-known for its relaxed lifestyle and mild, subtropical climate.”
Homebuyers can choose between 10 two or threebedroom home designs, each with three facade options, and five colour-scheme choices.
The secure, pet-friendly development will have a gated entry with number-plate recognition. Homes will be built using the latest technology to ensure superior environmental and thermal efficiency and will be six-star energy rated.
Sites are now selling and home designs are available to view.
GemLife Tweed Waters is located at 30 Fraser Drive, Tweed Heads, 30 minutes from the Gold Coast. Home construction is forecast to begin in late 2020, subject to development approvals.
Under the Queensland Government’s newly-created Gold Coast-Tweed border bubble, buyers residing on the Gold Coast are permitted to travel across the border to the Tweed and back.
