Before councillors worry about house parking organise the high-rise parking problems. Council approve buildings with one bedroom – no car space, two bed with study (third bed) one car space overflow park on street. All new roads need to be at least two metres wider. Love the North Burleigh love heart stairs, but people are sitting/standing on them for up to 30 mins to get the perfect selfie or because “the lighting is right” while people carrying prams, bikes and elderly people are forced to either wait or try to inch their way around them, making social distancing impossible.

Hey retired Architect, how come you bagged both the retired teachers for saying they are retired teachers when you mentioned you are a retired architect, talk about a hypocrite. Obviously both retired teachers Linda and Maree have done a great service to the community with all those years of teaching our children, where as so many of todays young teachers can’t handle the pressure and quit. If the light rail is going through Palm Beach as planned why wouldn’t they locate the station at the northern side of the traffic lights on the intersection of Thrower Dve and GC Highway? They would not only maintain two lanes north and south but also have room to build a car park. Shredder
