CLEAN YOUR OVEN WITH A DISHWASHER TABLET

If you hate cleaning your oven door and have ignored it for so long it now looks like a grease factory exploded, this is the hack for you. Simply take a dishwashing tablet – we tried this hack with both Logix brand from Aldi and a Finish Quantum Powerball, with similar results – dip it in warm water, then rub it all over the glass so the powder spreads everywhere. Then scrub with a sponge (try gently with the scourer side if your sponge has one) until clean, and wipe over with a clean sponge. You’ll be amazed by the transformation.

EXFOLIATE WITH COFFEE GROUNDS

Spring is finally here which means there’s a decent chance you’ll be wearing T-shirts, shorts and skirts again soon. That means it’s time to get your skin in shape by buffing away those dead skin cells. A cheap and efficient way to do this is with coffee grounds; mix some with a little water or carrier oil (olive, coconut, etc) and scrub them with your hands on to your face and body. The coarse particles in the coffee exfoliate dirt and dead skin cells, while also increasing blood flow. The caffeine in coffee grounds has antioxidant properties, which help protect the skin from nasties and sun damage. Caffeine can also remove dark circles and puffiness under the eyes; mix some coffee grounds with a little honey and use to exfoliate your lips as well.

LINE YOUR CRISPER WITH PAPER TOWELS

Try this for keeping your vegies fresher for longer. Line the crisper of your fridge with a few sheets of paper towel. It will absorb the condensation that your vegetables generate as they chill – and condensation and excess moisture are what make vegies wilt faster. Not only will the paper towel keep them fresh, it will also keep your fridge cleaner. Winner.
