Read about the plants, animals, bush tucker and Minjungbal culture from interpreta­tive signage along the way. The walk starts at 17 Kirkwood Rd, Tweed Heads South.

LEARN TO SURF – Spend the day learning to surf at exquisite Rainbow Bay. Coolangatt­a Learn to Surf instructor­s will ensure you’re having fun. The ex-profession­als provide an easy-to-learn technique that gets you up in 20 minutes. Coolangatt­a Learn to Surf is on 0417 191 629.

STEP BACK IN TIME – Let the kids’ imaginatio­n run wild while wandering through 20th century Antiques and Collectabl­es at Coolangatt­a. There are thousands of retro collectabl­es.

LUNCH WITH A VIEW – Overlook Greenmount Beach with an icy cold beverage and tasty lunch at Rainbow Bay Surf Club. The family-friendly club offers lunch specials from Monday to Friday and live music Sundays.

SUPERBANK WALKING TRACK – Soak in views of some of the world’s best beaches during this 2km walk. The manmade superbank extends from Snapper Rocks Point, through Rainbow Bay, Greenmount Point, Coolangatt­a Beach and Kirra.

SKY DIVE – The team at Gold Coast Skydive will teach you about canopy control and safe landings before a 20-minute flight to 12,000 feet. After a final check, you’ll jump and hurtle 7500 feet in 45 seconds.

WHALE WATCHING – Gold Coasters are fortunate to catch a glimpse of majestic humpback whales from June-November. Watch them breach and play in clear water from Point Danger headland, or for up-close get on a whale-watching boat tour.
