Also written with her partner Gerry Goffin, this was a 1962 hit for The Drifters, while James Taylor recorded a hit version in 1979.

Written specifical­ly for Aretha Franklin, who scored a hit with the song in 1967, King recorded her own version for Tapestry.

You’ve Got a Friend, James Taylor

Inspired by James Taylor’s Fire and Rain, King released this on Tapestry in 1971 and Taylor responded by recording his own version, which became a US No. 1 just months after Tapestry was released. “I just love James Taylor’s voice, how gentle and kind he sounds,” Esther Hannaford says.

CSL chief executive Paul Perreault says the company’s partnershi­p with AstraZenec­a stretches beyond merely being a contract manufactur­er to produce a COVID-19 vaccine and the two will be able to adapt it to coronaviru­s variations, including the UK strain.

CSL, the biggest company on the ASX, has reiterated its commitment to deliver the first doses of the locally produced COVID-19 vaccine to the government by the end of March.

CSL is producing more than 50 million doses of the AstraZenec­a vaccine in Melbourne.

The group revealed a bumper earnings result on Thursday, its net profit soaring 44 per cent to $US1.81bn ($2.33bn) in the half year to December 31, beating analysts forecasts.

Revenue surged cent to $US5.6bn.

CSL’s shares jumped 2.8 per cent to $289.

Mr Perreault maintained full-year earnings forecast of $US2.17bn-$US2.27bn.
