Visitors can have retirement questions answered and receive advice and helpful insights on how to design an ideal retirement at Tailor your Retirement, hosted by Reside Communities, on Wednesday, November 24.
Reside Communities chief executive Glen Brown said at the free seniors’ event, featuring award-winning journalist Kay McGrath, people could hear from a panel of retirement living experts and experienced professionals on a range of topics.
“Whether you need help to choose the perfect retirement village, want to learn more about facilities and activities offered at retirement villages, or have questions about contracts and finances, we cover everything you need to know,” he said.
Varria Personal Financial Advisers managing director Peter Audet will be speaking about making investments work in retirement and sharing his tips for living a fulfilling life.
An expert in retirement planning and financial decision making, Mr Audet has been featured in a New
York Times bestseller business book.
Understanding retirement living contracts will be the topic for DSL Law principal Danielle Law.
Ms Law is an experienced lawyer who specialises in retirement living and will be sharing information about how the Retirement Villages Act works in favour of residents and protects people at every stage of their journey.
Simon Lockyer, chief executive of Five Good Friends, one of Australia’s most innovative home care providers, will speak about personalised care and support, and will be sharing his philosophy for ageing well in retirement, with a focus on maintaining close community connections.
Mr Brown and Reside Communities group operations manager Craig Syphers will focus on what retirees can expect from a retirement village.
With more than two decades’ experience in senior retirement industry leadership roles, Mr Brown now brings his passion to the team at Reside.
He will be explaining the key elements people should look for in a retirement village.
