Home and Away star to LA and back – with love in her heart
AUSTRALIAN actress Tammin Sursok has chosen the Gold Coast as the backdrop for when she renewed her wedding vows to her husband, who she nearly lost to Covid.
The actress became a household name in Australia thanks to her role in Home And Away before heading to Los Angeles to land character roles in shows including Young & Restless and Pretty Little Liars.
The US didn’t only bring Ms Sursok fame but also love when she met film director Sean McEwan, who she married in 2011.
A decade on, a Covid scare to her husband made the TV star rethink life.
“Life gets so busy but Covid changed everything. I had the realisation we need to show appreciation to the people who are important in our life today,” she said.
“I thought renewing my vows was a great way to show my love to him, especially nearly losing him to Covid.”
The happy couple were joined on Surfers Paradise beach by their two daughters, Phoenix and Lennon, and Ms Sursok’s parents.
One Instagram post said: “I surprised my entire family with a 10-year vow renewal. To dear Sean, on our 10-year wedding anniversary...
“We almost lost you a year ago. I remember driving down the street and my heart started breaking.
“I don’t remember a memory without you in it. Without loving you, without us laughing or surviving or dreaming or needing each other. My memories are you.
“Eating frozen cherries in Turkey, waking up at 4am to the Cambodian sunrise, getting seasick on a boat in the Seychelles, sleeping with our babies in the hospital at one day old, making movies together in the heat of Oklahoma, living through a pandemic.
“Today I vow to create more memories with you.”
The post then made special mention of a list of local businesses who helped make the event happen including Timeless Images by Vanessa, The French Door and Etre Marié Bridal Boutique.
