GC WISHES FOR THE NEW YEAR

- CRYSTAL FOX

MAYOR TOM TATE

Over the last two years, I’ve let my physical health go due to Covid so my NY resolution is to get back in the gym, back lifting weights and losing body fat.

PATRICIA O’CALLAGHAN Destination Gold Coast CEO

Recovery will not be linear, so be ready for anything.

CR HERMANN VORSTER Robina councillor

I think every politician needs this one on their list: listen more than you talk. Our kids are growing up so fast, and I want to make sure we’re doing more to create wonderful memories of their childhood.

DR SONU HAIKERWAL GP and Upper Coomera Respiratory Clinic owner

Food and exercise. I want to launch my health village project next year, talks, podcasts, workshops and health retreats, watch this space. I want to live my health philosophy and reach out to people on a larger scale. And continue to play my part in fighting against this pandemic! My goal is to not let any Gold Coaster die of Covid in the next six months.

MICHAEL GATENBY Gatenby Criminal Lawyers director

This year I’m going to make an effort to be more present with family. My son bought me a surf board for Christmas so I’m going to get back into surfing. On a professional level I’m going to get to court on time.

ALFRED SLOGROVE CEO Study Gold Coast

The new year is going to be a big one for all of us on the Gold Coast. I personally am looking forward to welcoming new students and tourists back to our beautiful city. I’m definitely looking forward to 2022 as our country reopens, international opportunities, travel and we go back to some sort of normal. As a personal goal, I would also love to run the Gold Coast Marathon again, it has been too long.
