Drug dealer found with $300k, LSD, meth

A MURWILLUMB­AH man found with MDMA, cocaine, meth, ketamine, marijuana and almost $300,000 cash will soon find out his fate after his case was committed to a higher court.

Angus Brockbank, 27, pleaded guilty in Tweed Heads Local Court on January 14 to supplying cocaine, supplying LSD, supplying MDMA and knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime.

Charges of supplying meth, possessing marijuana, supplying ketamine and possessing property suspected of being proceeds of crime were admitted to and will be considered upon sentence.

According to the agreed facts, police became suspect of Brockbank supplying drugs in Murwillumb­ah during investigat­ions at the end of 2020.

Police raided a Silky Oak Court home in Bray Park on January 6 where Brockbank made admissions to there being about 280g of cocaine, 1kg of MDMA and $250,000 cash in the drawers beneath a bed in the master bedroom of the house.

Brockbank was arrested and present during the search.

In the house police found 306.69g of cocaine, 98 squares of LSD weighing 1.07g, 86.35g of meth, 48.2g of marijuana leaf, 11.38g of Stanozolol (testostero­ne), 134.23g of MDMA and 18.4g of ketamine.

Police also found $299,925 in cash in different bundles and a 1kg silver bar worth about $1200.

Other items located indicating supply were a quantity of sim cards, three Samsung phones, two iPhones, a knotted plastic package with 99g of levamisole, 750 cardboard squares, an exhibit bag with hundreds of small resealable plastic bags, a black face mask and a package labelled “sterile water for injection”.

An analysis of his phone found multiple conversati­ons with various people for supply of drugs and a lengthy tick list of “Dallas”.

Brockbank was committed to the Lismore District Court for mention on February 7.

He remains in custody on remand.
