THEFT – SURFERS PARADISE

Police want to speak to this man about mail stolen from a Surfers Paradise unit complex on Christmas Day last year.

CCTV showed an alleged thief at the Panorama Towers unit complex at 1.30am on Christmas Day, rifling through mailboxes.

The CCTV showed a similar looking man return about 7.30am. Mail was later reported missing from the complex.

ASSAULT – SURFERS PARADISE

Police have released a photo of a woman who may be able to help with investigat­ions into the assault of a pregnant woman at Surfers Paradise in December.

About 1.50pm on Friday December 30, a 37-year-old Bossley Park woman was waiting in a queue at an indoor games arcade on Cavill Avenue with her husband and two children, when the assault occurred.

An unknown woman punched the 37-year-old seven times to the head before a witness intervened and pulled her off.

The 37-year-old, who is five-months pregnant, received serious facial injuries resulting in dental surgery.

Police are urging anyone who recognises the woman, or who has any informatio­n in relation to this assault, to come forward.

SUSPICIOUS FIRE INVESTIGAT­ION – HELENSVALE

Detectives investigat­ing a suspicious fire at a Helensvale business want to speak to two men who may be able to help with investigat­ions.

About 10.45pm on January 3, a trio allegedly used bats to break the windows of a Siganto Dr premises, before a fire was lit.

It was alleged the men then fled in a white vehicle which was driven south along Siganto Dr and continued north along the M1.

The men were described as having dark complexion­s and all had their faces concealed.

One man was wearing a light and dark blue patterned buttoned short sleeved shirt with black ripped jeans and bright red running shoes.

A second man was wearing a black hoodie and black pants with a white T-shirt beneath and black dress shoes.

The third man was wearing a grey hoodie with black shorts. He had black hair.

Police urge anyone with informatio­n on the incident to come forward.

A man allegedly involved in the incident has been charged. Anonymous reports can be made.
