One councillor who suggested Bruce Bishop Carpark is “an unappealing entrance to our city from the airport” is stretching things just a tad. The carpark is 27.9 kms from Coolangatta Airport which takes about 38 minutes to drive on a good traffic day.

What planet is Noel Pearson on? He says the voice will make clear demands of education providers to improve schooling and address youth crime. You could open a thousand schools full of Einstein-like teachers. If the kids won’t go to school nothing changes. If parents don’t make the kids go to school nothing changes. Re Angry Local 31.1. I shop at many shops, Aldi, Woolworth , Coles, BWS, Bunnings, Chemist Warehouse, Choice Discount Store, Ashmore Hair Design, Big W and none of them charge a fee for a debit card purchase. Suggest you change the shops that you visit because elsewhere there is no fee. You are indeed being ripped off. Joan

Why do we have a housing crisis with a shortage of both rental and properties for sale at the same time. In a large resource rich country like ours ( similar size population to Taiwan which is half the size of Tasmania in area) we can’t seem to have enough affordable homes for people in a sparsely populated continent. Something is inherently wrong with this scenario ,In fact its scandalous and disgusting that our country with less people than greater Tokyo and Yokohama combined has over 100,000 homeless as well. We need politicians to look after Australians interests first ahead of all others, otherwise we will end up just like America under the thumb of globalists.
