When I hear the song on the radio “The lion sleeps tonight” the urge to sing is just a whim away, a whim away, a whim away

If I’m not mistaken there is First Nation Representatives already in Local State and Federal Govts so why the need for this Voice carry on.. if the majority of our First Nation are unhappy with their situation then maybe just maybe those representatives in Govt are not doing their job so perhaps those at the coalface need to be replaced before attacking our Constitution which currently stands for ALL Australians whether you have been here for a zillion years or became a citizen yesterday. Doug

Hey Juss Sayen, I went to both private & public schools & havent seen any of my fellow “contacts” since. But somehow managed to make it on my own. 4218

From Stone Age throes to throwing stones at our multicultural, modern day democracy. Going backwards seems to be the new way forward. Go figure Albo.

I wonder if people had to put their number and name with their texts, how many comments we’d have in chatroom. There’d certainly be less alfoil hat moonbats ranting. No Name No Number

After watching the BBL cricket final which was in front of a full house in Perth,I keep wandering why the NRL doesn’t have a team over there. The sandgropers out west are very parochial and love nothing better than beating any team from the east who controls all major sports in the country east of the SA/ Victoria border. I am sure that the Perth Glory Soccer side would love the the idea of a NRL side,as together they would push the State government for a new modern 30 to 40,000 seat stadium just like Melbourne Storm did.DS

Big revolution in France - because French Government wants to lift retirement age - from 62- to 64 ,here - in Communist Australiaretirement age is already 67- any protests ? No way! Australians taking this laying down- no protests, no resistance. No wonder, China loves this Country, full of weak bogans.

Big shopping centres in Qld make a fuss over new arrangements to go fully renewable with solar. 9 news shows the solar farm that supplies that energy and it is enormous. How about showing what the land looked like before the solar farm was built. Farmers get fined for cutting a tree down on their own property and these companies can build these huge eyesores that kill the land beneath. Where are the indigenous people when it comes to this devastation of the land? Oh right, there’s more money holding mining companies to ransom. Peter

So AJS thinks there is a shed load of information about ‘The Voice’. Then maybe he needs to share that with Albo, because so far he’s not shared that with anyone (including the media) who asks. John Mc

After government agencies we don’t trust brought in policies we didn’t vote for to force us to take injections which weren’t properly tested and which didn’t prevent the disease that very few of us would have died from, companies that lack ethics reaped billions in undeserved profits and their billionaire owners who we didn’t vote for are now trying to change the weather which is controlled by the sun by forcing us to eat bugs we can’t digest, but apparently if I criticise or question any of that I’m a conspiracy theorist who subscribes to warped ideologies. Higgs

One wonders the benefits “Tennis Albo” could achieve with the same concentrated efforts on the economy to control inflation and living costs for “All Australians” as he has done so overwhelmingly to prioritise all his efforts on “The Voice” to be the most important issue we face as a nation. I recall Albo’s election slogan “l’m not a bulldozer l’m a builder”. CP

Australia should stop sending anything to the Ukraine immediately. With the high level of their governments corruption we are being treated like mugs. Government ministers have ripped off millions of the worlds donations. They had pressure put on them to demonstrate they are doing something about their governments corruption before the donations were handed over. So why did we give over $600 million to a country we knew had a corrupt gov ?

Are the pilotless aircraft proposed to fly people from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast in the lead-up to the 2032 Olympic Games going to have parachutes for passengers to use if the computer controls crash?

I thought the vax was always supposed to help those who caught Covid. No one ever said it would prevent catching it, no one ever said

it would prevent it being spread. Simply helping those who catch it. The only ones saying this were the dingbats because they did their “research”. Arfur

In the 1950’s the cost of a TV licence was 5 pounds per year, now with Free to Air TV they should pay us to watch the tripe they dish up, Channel 10 owned by American CBS is by far the worst! Loz

A question for the PM. During the election, you said you had a plan for the economy, health care, and energy. I don’t recall much conversation about the voice. Since you were elected, that’s all you seem to be concerned about with endless interviews, especially on your ABC. You had no plan and now I ask you what are you going to do for everyone in Oz, not just the activists who want more than we should be asked to give. Peter

No one cares that you can bench press 120kg. Thing is you’re too comfortable in your position and your time is well and truly up champ. We need some fresh meat in 24 and the problem is who…..

A suggestion to the medical fraternity and government to overcome the shortage of doctors country areas. When a medical student graduates from university they should be deployed to a country hospital for a period of one year. Government should provide free accommodation and vehicle as an incentive as well as a bonus at the end of their term. Not only will they contribute to the community they will learn what compassion is all about. Squizz.

I can’t believe that the press media would find it so important to tell the world how Prince Harry lost his virginity. First and foremost, who give a stuff. It appears we have a female seeking some form of notoriety.

If liars’ pants really did catch fire, watching the news and parliament house question time would be a lot more entertaining. Juss Sayen

The 2024 Gold Coast council elections will be held in a Gym with Mayor Tate’s only achievement being his ability to lift 120kg. The World Weightlifting Association will be the adjudicating body with the Queensland Electoral Commission playing no part. Gold Coast residents are urged to take out gym memberships and enter the race for Mayor on weightlifting day or as we know it election day. Let the contest begin. Gym Junkie.

It’s interesting to me that the crowd trying to introduce a Race based Voice is calling anybody that doesn’t support it a racist. And I notice Albanese is now appealing to our emotions instead of anything factual. I also heard him say that it won’t affect most Australians but ‘might’ help someone who needs help...’MIGHT?’. What a wishy washy load of political BS. Just get on with it with the powers already available. Don’t add more Bureaucracy. I’ll be voting No thanks. Goman

Poor old KenW there he goes again trying to spruik his one eyed LNP philosophies. Talking about the backstabbing in the ALP leadership battles he’s once again forgotten, conveniently of course of the Abbot, Turnbull, Morrison stoushes within his own beloved party. Perhaps Ken you should think about retiring from writing to the paper until you can take a bit of criticism and stop making things up. Geoffrey.

Boy o boy, hasn’t Tom Tate been copping it, eh? Neither for nor against him, but he’s been in GC’s top chair for a very long time now & knows GC inside out & back to front! Is it in “Mayor’s” job application, that they’re not allowed to ever have a holiday??? Just wondering who these bloody whinging knockers of “Gold Coast City Mayor,” have in mind to take his place? Won’t matter anyhow, cos no matter who’s in the top job, weak, bloody whingey, whiners will NEVER be happy! Poor them, eh? Do your best, Tom! Ooroo
