Can’t believe there’s a proposal for development for nearly 1000 units near Pacific Fair. Why can’t we make this a lovely park ?The traffic is horrendous already without an extra thousand units and no parking not to mention the impact on the environment.
Our new Health Minister - “Our emergency departments are doing much much more ...... there’s still more to do”. Minister, what about more staff or you’ll have all these workers off on stress leave if you keep pushing but there’s no relief. Watch the ones who care, who quietly get in & work their butt off to carry the load of other not so conscientious people. You don’t want to lose them!

Fear mongers! Fifty years ago the world’s oil supplies were going to run out, then 30 years ago we were facing an ice age, and now it’s global warming doom n gloom. People with vested interests who say the only way is up for real estate prices should take a reality check. There are less Lamborghinis sold than base model cars because they are out of reach of ordinary working folk. And real estate prices are getting to a stage where they are becoming out of reach of ordinary working folk also. It’s called affordability and that is what will eventually stop prices rising.
With a live sheep export ban and a collapse predicted, well Aussies should pay the right price for a lamb cutlet, $10 a kilo! For a one bite cutlet, but greed still rules our country.
As long as Queenslanders keep voting for Anna’s amateur government we will still have the health and crime problems we have become accustomed to and the opposition need to show they are capable of doing any better- here’s hoping. Waf
I am a white male and have been subjected to vile racial name calling such as “white - expletive” many times in the NT, where I spent most of my life. It never worried me. Most of my friends are Indigenous as are inlaws, many of whom were stolen generation. I know the racial name callers would not have said the things they did if they knew me and were not inebriated at the time.
It’s not only rising interest rates buyers of real estate need to be concerned about. It’s the potential for huge capital losses that face people who purchased property at inflated prices during and since the pandemic.
So now we have Pride month! It’s never-ending. How about we have an Anzac Month instead! - Kay
