If only kids were equally exposed to the happy, feel-good movies of old, as opposed to the super-ultra-violent, offerings from ALL avenues of free TV these days, perhaps we may end up hopefully with a small % of good’uns?

Is there any sign of an outcome in an attempt to rule the helicopters continually flying overhead and disturbing the peace in Labrador, Runaway Bay, Main Beach and surrounding areas, a new craft can be heard (extremely loudly) every 10 minutes doing an around trip … can tell you it is driving me and neighbours insane! Family friends were visiting the Gold Coast recently and made a very good point... if you want to enjoy some sun on the beaches (our biggest asset), you can only do so before midday, because after lunchtime the massive towers (aka concrete jungle) cast massive shadows over the beach. Basically we are ruining our biggest tourism drawcard. Solution... only allow low rise development East of the Gold Coast Highway. Angry Local
