vote on the Voice and at the next election which hopefully will come before much more damage can be inflicted. Woody Parkwood

If only kids were equally exposed to the happy, feel-good movies of old, as opposed to the super-ultra-violent, offerings from ALL avenues of free TV these days, perhaps we may end up hopefully with a small % of good’uns?

Anyhow kids, we’ve worked hard all our lives, to pave the way for change, tis up to you now to continue the fight! Time now, for us ol’ trailblazers, to put our feet up, have a cuppa, vegemite on toast, & pass the baton to you! Never forget the ultimate goal though – equal pay for women, doing the same job as men!

$4.8m over two years for swimming lessons for other peoples’ kids. In my day, you paid for your own family and did without other things to get by. How about every Qld pollie tip in some of their overpayment to fund this nonsense. Peter

So free swimming lessons for Kids? Good vote catcher eh Premier? COOLY KEV

No need to worry about the cost of living. Kids are getting free swimming lessons. Now we can’t ask for much more than that. Barney

Is there any sign of an outcome in an attempt to rule the helicopters continually flying overhead and disturbing the peace in Labrador, Runaway Bay, Main Beach and surrounding areas, a new craft can be heard (extremely loudly) every 10 minutes doing an around trip … can tell you it is driving me and neighbours insane! I believe Council are attempting to put an end to these trips Please help.

Albo’s $250 energy rebate now dumped, but now the media tell us our power bills are to soon rise by 25 per cent and keep increasing, meaning many families will have to have their power turned off, and live in the dark like 8 per cent of Qld’er’s already are. Blame Labors renewable energy lunacy. KenW

Family friends were visiting the Gold Coast recently and made a very good point... if you want to enjoy some sun on the beaches (our biggest asset), you can only do so before midday, because after lunchtime the massive towers (aka concrete jungle) cast massive shadows over the beach. Basically we are ruining our biggest tourism drawcard. Solution... only allow low rise development East of the Gold Coast Highway. Angry Local
