Help paint a picture of what matters on the Gold Coast by taking part in this vital survey

-

Queensland is in a serious state of change. On the political front, we have a new premier in Steven Miles after nine years of Annastacia Palaszczuk. And polling suggests there is a very real chance at next year’s election that the LNP could take power, giving us another change at the top to David Crisafulli.

Away from politics, people are battling cost-of-living pressure.

Higher insurance, power bills, food and petrol.

Owning a home is a tough financial ask and even for those who can afford it, finding a property brings a whole other problem of its own.

All this as the state heads towards the Olympics in 2032 and the many big infrastructure questions that poses.

Here on the Gold Coast, there are many state-significant issues that we face as a city.

Light rail to the airport and the Coomera Connector are chief among those.

Major transport issues that impact commuters from not just the Gold Coast.

It seems a crucial time for people living here in the Sunshine State and it is important to get the message to our leaders as to what matters most to us. Which is why The Courier-Mail’s 2023 Queensland Sentiment Survey is an important opportunity.

The poll being conducted by our sister paper and in conjunction with News Corp mastheads across the state can peel back the curtain and provide a genuine picture of what everyday Queenslanders are thinking.

How do we get youth crime under control? Is the housing crisis top of all concerns? What sort of state do we want to be heading into the future?

And as Gold Coasters, we have a chance to take part in the survey and really hammer home the issues that matter most down here in our region.

This is a chance to have your voice heard at a time when so many out there feel as though politicians are missing the mark on what actually is important in our day-to-day lives.

So make sure you scan the QR code on Page 8 of today’s Bulletin, follow the prompts and fill out the survey. And by being a part of this, you can help provide a real picture to our pollies.
