Trackless trams with rubber wheels that run on a designated path marked on the road are nothing like buses. The carriages are indistingu­ishable from those of trams, the vehicles move along designated tracks and there are stops similar to tram stops.

Why didn’t the trackless tram proposer speak up BEFORE light rail began? Bit pointless to suggest it now.

Airline bag handler outsourcin­g was said to be justified on economic grounds and now the return to insourcing baggage handling is being justified on economic grounds, making good business sense and being good for shareholde­rs and staff. It would have made more sense all round not to have outsource it in the first place.

Disappoint­ed that Ryan Bayldonlum­sden has decided to contest the division 7 elections while a facing murder charge. There is no way that his current situation allows for him to fulfil the duties required of the role, which is currently costing ratepayers two times the FTE, but with no voting rights. Fay, Parkwood (Editor’s note: Mr BayldonLum­sden’s lawyer has entered a formal plea of not guilty to the murder charge.)

The attempts of the US and Israel to present its aggressive­ness as a defence of democracy are hollow and ludicrous.

You have to laugh at the importance some people hold of themselves! The mob at Rick Shores must think they are legends in their own lunchtimes crying that a restaurant 200km away with a completely different name, image and cuisine could be confused with their own over the top eatery!
