Newbies perhaps won’t know about the “annual gypsy teams,” who bombard Tweed/GC, this time of year, offering cheap, but ALWAYS DODGY driveways & roof renovations! Local papers full of complaints afterwards, every bloody year. Suggest highly, if you need specific work done, contact reputable folk & NOT answer a random knock at your door. Ooroo

The only good thing about losing power in Burleigh heads on boxing day was no functional traffic lights. Was stunned how well the traffic flowed without the bungled mistimed signals programmed by Tate and his team of lobotomized traffic sabotaging numpties. Dyso

Very disappointed to hear that King Charles won’t be coming to Australia for a couple of years. Please throw Chucky some of the frequent flyer points Airbus Albo to get him here in 2024. Johnbrew

Coal fans and renewables zealots need to understand both are useless when the infrastructure is broken. Barry

Couldn’t help but worry about the bloke who was reporting the temperature of 50 degrees at Marble Bar in Western Australia and he is wearing a suit and tie.

From 2004 to 2022, global spending on wind and solar totaled USD 4.1 trillion (3.4 exajoules), yet hydrocarbon use increased 3.4 times faster (110 exajoules). The renewables roll-out isn’t even keeping up with the increase in energy demand - all it’s doing is jacking up
