We are fortunate to have such public servants who do not rely on bribes and kickbacks to supplement their income. The country would grind to a halt without them. We are running out of time to plan and build new stadiums we can’t afford for a 2 week event. Brisbane is the host city. It doesn’t mean everything has to happen there. They can host the opening and closing ceremonies. Events can be held interstate or where they are best suited in world class facilities we already have. The swimming don’t care if other sports are just down the road. It’s all live on tv. We have a cost of living crisis. Spend wisely like we have to. GN
