As an Australian I am angry that cricket australia tennis australia, are not going to celebrate Australia Day, the everyday Australian has to get together and do something get out there and protest.

We don’t need this outdated “celebration” because it is a sign of all that is wrong with this country right now. Woke Waldo

If you don’t want to celebrate Australia Day don’t, but don’t impede others who love where they live or have chosen to live. Any Council, corporation or sporting body that don’t want to acknowledge Australia Day are as out of touch with the community and country as Albo was proven with the referendum. GN

Seppos have the Stars and Stripes , Pommies have the Union Jack , Aussies have 2 flags - yeah nah! JJ

Australia finished. Cancel aust day so as not to offend. Easter and Xmas gone. Kings birthday gone. Can’t upset the republicans. Labour Day. No better not touch that one. Personally I still call Australia home. Is don is good

Why don’t Aussies be flexible on the date change of Australia but stay firm that there has to be a day where all Aussies unite and celebrate this country inclusive of all Oz citizens. Would be interesting to see if everyone celebrates Australia Day if they got their choice of date. Cedric

Time for compromise. Australia Day to become Invasion Day but on 26 January. (Remember it’s Bastille Day in France, Independence Day in America etc). Given that no living person was around when the First Fleet arrived at Sydney Cove then surely we can now all celebrate this great national day together. After all what’s in a name?!

Channel 9 ad for Paris Olympics is outstanding featuring song “Land Down Under” makes me so proud of this country and to be Australian. Maz

Change name from Cricket Australia to Woke Cricket if they dont like Australia!

Maybe cricket Australia should consider a name change, weak wokes. Crapper

When will people get it into.their heads that the term Australia Day stems from our separation from Britain in 1949? Forget the rest. Jm

There is absolutely no doubt. Individually we may be splendid, but collectively we are the most disgusting creatures that walk this world. RAMBO

To Rambo about Trump GCB 20/1. In the interest of balance, just name say 5 things he did as President that you think were wrong and say three things you think he’ll do wrong when he becomes President again. Oh .... please provide some substantive evidence about why they are wrong. Cheers, Darryle Knowles
