That transport map from Ann Wason Moore column, once you get a look at the thing it is amazing. No wonder she called it a turn-on. The connection down to Northern Rivers is the best bit. Somebody make this happen.

Never heard someone get so excited about a map. Felt dirty reading your column AWM. Bulletin needed a sealed section.

Transport porn?? Now I have heard it all.

The only way to keep cars off the roads seems to be to dig up the roads and cover them with tram tracks and take away car parks so there is nowhere to park your car. What a great expensive way to ruin a city. It has already happened and more on the way.

All the flooding all the damage and yet our Federal Gov keeps giving millions to other countries - when will we get a giv with the goolies to stop this waste and LOOK AFTER AUSTRALIANS PH voter in waiting

The IQ of an average Joe Block in the street is higher than the total IQ of all the Federal Labour Cabinet ministers put together !

I’m an aged pensioner, but I don’t want another rate rise. Nor should the unemployed get one. If you are serious, Albanese, invest money in our defence forces so our kids have a chance to reach pension age. Peter

Re all this flash flooding that occurs regularly with every downpour we keep getting. Forget climate change. Could this be a result of lack of maintenance to waterways and gutter grills by councils ? Diz

Sad indictment of American politics when Trump is the standout candidate way way ahead of the opposition in terms of potential future of America.

Underground power lines do have their problems too, flooding can cause power outage just like falling trees. It is really a no win situation if a lot of rain is I the mixture. Nan

The council needs to put dumb dumb signs up along rivers at dawn or dusk, bull sharks & other carnivorous creatures, the Coast’s canals here have plenty of them.only a matter of time until something awful will happen to a person, child, then council would wish they keep ppl aware of the dangers, rather than wait till something happens here & be reminded that way after a life’s lost.

It’s Russian roulette to swim, surf in oceans & canals, there’s plenty of bull sharks in the Gold Coast canals, everyone knows, no sympathy for this.

Ah dear, World was so on track to living peacefully! Who fkd it up, eh? Amen!

The mouse that roared! The dramatic and dynamic evolution of our planet from a giant fireball to frozen wasteland to today’s verdant globe makes a complete mockery of climate change alarmism. Mother Nature always rules over puny mankind, no matter how devious and dishonest humans become in their quest for political power and wealth.

Andrew young lad , your fantasy figures are not only shocking but also absurdly incorrect.

Andrew Stimson Only in Australia where we apparently are on a global save the world campaign . Yet we supply the world with coal all for money the Gov even pat themselves on the back for record royalties yet it’s forbidden here . Go on a crusade to bash China – they burn more than half the worlds coal themselves and do you think they care . Only in Australia where stupidly rules and the noisy minority believe pigs might fly. Bill

AS upper coomera, where the hell did you “find” your ridiculous incorrect renewables numbers? Read your electricity account again (this time with your eyes open). You are subsidising this massive con job.

Seriously how is petrol costing us this much ?????? Somebody is making a killing at our expense.

Isn’t it amazing that the Govt is battling (?) cost of living and have never even mentioned reducing the fuel excise which is a major problem for every family member and motorists - but oh no it would cost them “real” money instead of hiding behind all their smoke and mirrors Foggy

Regarding statues of James Cook being destroyed. Do any of these imbeciles realise that in 1788 he had been dead for nine years. He mapped the coastline fools. Peter

Yep, take it out on a statue, well done.

Is it that I’ve forgotten or simply choosing not to remember? Dunno, whadya reckon, eh?

Broken filling needs replacing. Will male dentist suggest extraction of still-good tooth? (seems the norm!) Will newbie replace filling, only for it to break next day? Will I be bombarded with constant suggestions of “implants?” Christ! If they’re not competent to do basic job of replacing a filling, how the bloody heck, are we expected to believe they’re even remotely competent to perform intricate “implant” surgery? Buggered if I know! World’s gone fgn nuts !!!! Hmph!

The world’s one big soap opera at the moment, waiting for the next drama, it’s a dud script, like any simps soapy show, we need new script writers, the ones writing the show now they need looking up some of them, lunatics, world leaders are all over the place, becoming more divided as time goes by, even poor get poorer as the rich complain about taxes, sad state of affairs at present.

Self-funded retirees who own large homes are less likely to sell up and down-size to smaller homes such as apartments while the price difference is negligible, after buying and selling costs are taken into account. There are incentives for income support recipients but these do not help self-funded retirees. So if the government wants to free up more larger homes for families, the incentives for self-funded retirees to down-size need to make it worthwhile.

All this talk of tennis grunting and groaning. You do get that it is a physical sport where people exert themselves? Get off ya backside and head to the gym, people make noises there too.

Tennis players hitting the court after a big win is nothing news. I’ll take that over the grunting.
