How come Daphne pulled the pin so late in Palm Beach?? Getting a bit close to election time now. Seems like strange timing.

We regularly read in the GCB about motorists frustrated by the lack of parking available in Surfers Paradise. Only recently we lost another car park that provided around 120 or so spaces when ‘Hi Rise Harry’ commenced construction of his ‘Cypres’ project. As a concerned local I would implore Mayor Tom Tate and GCCC to consider purchasing the land for sale adjacent to their own Cypress Ave; Council car park, to build a 5 or 6 level car park. CH

Went into Surfers Paradise the other day. Looks like a dump. When is council going to do something about it. Stop sitting on your hands and fix the joint.

Reckon much will change at the council election? I doubt it, same crew will be mostly back with a few new faces. Tom will be back.

Hey woke w, you are a self opinionated gasbag who stands in front of the mirror admiring something that others don’t, your opinions inspire you only and not the populace. Have a Bex and a lay down and attemp to rejoin reality.

I am sickened by not only Australia but other countries around the world, who are “rewriting history” just because they didn’t like, didn’t agree with the “ACTUAL HISTORY”. History is just that- HISTORY and shouldn’t or can’t be rewritten. GeeBee

Neither side of politics in Qld is going to fix the youth crime problem, they can’t. It is too far past them now. And they wonder why people take matters into their own hands.

If Labor can’t fix hospital waiting lists, why would it be able to “fix the climate”? Higgs

Wish governments would pump a bit more money into climate change (note sarcasm). People are starving and homeless here in Oz.

Hey Woolworths I’ve been a loyal customer for 25 years but Australia Day finished it for me. Today I visited your store to get a few things I can’t buy at Coles to be confronted by huge signs “Happy Luna New Year”. I’m not usually lost for words but seriously you need to take a big look at yourselves!

In the Era of Stakeholder Capitalism, Flood insurance will never get cheaper because the shareholders must have their profits above any other considerations. RAMBO
