Margot in the pink at awards
Not getting an Oscar nomination hasn’t stopped Margot Robbie from serving up Barbiechic as she attended the 96th Oscars Nominees Luncheon.
The Australian actor was all smiles in an all-pink outfit, despite not getting nominated for Best Actress for her performance in the smash hit movie.
Robbie and her husband, Tom Ackerley, were among her fellow Barbie co-stars Ryan Gosling and America Ferrera as they participated in the Oscar tradition of luncheon before the awards.
Robbie had addressed the issue of her Oscar snub at a SAG-AFTRA panel, stating that she was more upset that Greta Gerwig wasn’t nominated for the Best Director category.
“Obviously, I think Greta should be nominated as a director,” she said.
“What she did is a once-in-acareer, once-in-a-lifetime thing. What she pulled off, it really is. But it’s been an incredible year for all the films.”
Robbie won the Trailblazer Award at last weekend’s AACTAs on the Gold Coast.
Eyes indicate autism in kids
Tracking the eye movement of preschoolers for as little as one minute could help with the early detection of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), new research has found
The University of New South Wales study tracked the eye movements of children both with and without autism while watching side-by-side images of geometric patterns and children performing yoga exercises.
The researchers were able to predict an autism diagnosis with an accuracy of 94.59 per cent. The study also gained a sensitivity of 87.50 per cent and a specificity of 100 per cent.
