Great news that the Oceanway in the north is being completed, but why the heck is it taking 4years to get done? And when will the oceanway be connected between Broadbeach & Miami? Stop letting a few dozen millionaires stop delivering an essential project which 99% of Gold Coasters, businesss & tourism operators want! Angry local

The Gold Coast is a fake joint in lots of ways, money rules, when you have it they’re all Hello sir etc etc. When you don’t have it they couldn’t care less, that’s how I see this place.
Now police are denying being told to reduce arrests it makes sense why you can walk through central Southport anytime day or evening and people flaunting drinking alcohol...not a good or legal view and never any police around to clean up Southport. MB
Why can’t gccc make it a law that you can only leave your camper/caravan or boat trailer parked in the street where you Live!
Spot on about the streets around Varsity and parking. It is dangerous as hell. Impossible to squeeze down some roads.
Have to agree with Danielle Dunsmore. Broadbeach and Surfers are now butt ugly. I have to agree. You stay in a high rise all you hear is the screech of trams metal on metal. It’s absolutely pathetic. Lorrie
The Gold Coast needs to get with the drifters, car enthusiasts and build a “track”. The “hoons” could have somewhere to drift, bike and car shows could be added to this. Make it a go-cart track on weekdays.
Qld Labor has dumped the most urgent GC heavy rail completion to the busy Cooly airport border, in favour of the Sunny Coast. This new Premier is ‘Miles’ off course. KenW. Lot of talk about the Sunshine Coast rail. Let’s just make sure the GC light rail does not get overlooked.

How about Dutton puts his energy into tackling climate change, bushfires & the cost of living crisis hurting millions of Australians? ajs Seems folk are pushing for Nuclear Energy cos “it’s clean & reliable”.
