So surfers Pavillon now has breakfast for you and your dog, I love dogs but they do not belong in restaurants full stop. Won’t be back there again. Roy the Boy, Surfers

Surfers Paradise needs a gurney? So does Southport, where a mini cleaner used to regularly clean the pavement. Where is it? Flicka

5 or 6 years ago, my wife and I went to Surfers to see the Q1, the place smelled then of urine, beer and vomit. Haven’t they cleaned it? Danny, Pottsville

If Tom Tate is re elected as Mayor I do think he should concentrate on the everyday residents problems and put our rate money where it is supposed to go not billion dollar play grounds for the rich. Nan

Back to basics Tom and other councillors. Get rid of the 3 hour weekday parking limit or issue parking permits to ppl who live in premises built after October 2019. On Chevron Island there is over 7000 parking spaces during the week. But residents can’t park more than 3 hours. The drivel I got back from Taylor’s office that they are needed for casual visitors and ppl shopping doesn’t stand the test. At least Mona and Eddy understand sense. Darryle Knowles

I wish Eddy Sarroff bundles of success with his running for the Mayoral job. In his past role in Council, his achievements were outstanding. Best of luck Eddy.

Barbara you’re right about Tram 6/3 squeezing through Palmy, traffic already Does! And now with all the Developments starting 4...5 on HWY image this Choas We R going to Endure!!! J

2 roads into GC. M1 clogged from Tugun heading north. GC Hwy clogged from Palm Beach heading north. Hmmm ........... ?

About time the Bulletin and police journo Charlton Hart reported in s professional manner and let the Acting Police Commissioner undertake his review. Remembering, Katarina Carroll took ownership of suspending Aaron Ottaway. The GCB should be promoting the Gold Coast at every opportunity not challenging understaffed police who, under government changes and rules around juvenile crime, are fighting a losing battle. Pedro

Keith Woods, no ‘Games’ have ever, nor will ever be ‘Cost-Neutral’.

“Cost-neutral Olympic Games”. Now there’s an oxymoron if ever I saw one. Pull the other leg.

One grandiose wasteful idea after another. Gold Coast has an underused medium-sized stadium called Cbus Stadium at Robina adjacent to a railway station and close to entertainment venues at the nearby shopping centre. We don’t need to waste rate-payers money on a “boutique” stadium Tom Tate is spruiking.

Re: woke minority. That’s it it is just a minority. Why do we have this dribble all the time? Everyone has their opinion but you’ve also got to listen to other opinions. It always just seems that they are not able to. Lights are on but no one’s home ????

It was people in the past who would be termed woke today who fought to stop dreadful things such as human slavery, small boys working in underground coal mines, the white Australia policy, women and indigenous people not being permitted to vote, and many other things.

Woke Waldo you’ve forgotten about the water cycle & how clouds reflect the sun’s rays & cool the planet. Electric vehicles, solar panels & wind turbines don’t return water to the atmosphere, burning plant based fuels do. Erupting volcanos add cloud condensation nuclei to the atmosphere precipitating flooding rains. That’s what’s making the weather so extreme. A. Realist

Evidence from overseas suggests new nuclear power stations are prohibitively expensive, take far too long to construct and only go ahead when governments enter open-ended contracts prone to cost blow-outs with private firms to build them. This is how the Hinkley Point power station is being built in the UK. Taxpayers not only foot the bill but suffer high electricity costs for generations as a result.

I hate the way this Prime Minister greets people. Does a handshake with both hands or with one hand on their elbow and when they walk away, puts a hand on their back. Barney

Poor old Albo, just a battler doing his best. Really, it’s all that he’s got.

Ever wonder why Labor is spelled like this? Because they don’t care about u. Peter

Years ago America Had Johnny cash , bob hope and Stevie wonder , the way this country is heading with this government , we will have no cash , no hope , and no wonder, the little bloke from Nerang

Crikey! Grammar, spelling and pronounciation on TV news is abysmal. Really childish, and nobody seems to care. Sad indictment of today’s standards and professionalism.

I really think it’s time you moved back home to South Africa Noel. If you can’t support the Australian super rugby teams and constantly sing the praises of Sth African rugby please don’t try and hoodwink us into believing you are Australian. Even the Kiwis living here admit to being Kiwis when supporting their rugby teams. A TRUE Australian.

If the US gets serious with their big interest now in rugby league, we could end up having an annual international game with them, like we do with UK, France and NZ. Bring it on. KenW.

Much has been said about the ‘success’ of the NRL in Vegas, but I reckon it’s too late. Rugby Union is a big sport there with over 150,000 registered very keen players. Plus the 2031 Rugby World Cup is being held there and the US team is automatically in. No hope.

I worked in a rehab hospital in Sydney, 90% of patients had sports related injuries. It’s bad for your health.

Sports are stupid. Glad I’m not the only one that thinks so. Can I please have my money back.

Go the Suns! So glad to have AFL back.
