Even if all the sitting councillors were voted out and new councillors voted in would things really change, history shows us councils aren’t prone to harmony. Jim

Heard our Mayor a while ago suggesting fines for off leash dogs should be increased. Not much use if you haven’t got anyone enforcing it. Tried to get an animal control officer out last year on a public holiday and was told none are rostered on because council had massively slashed the animal control budget.

Report in Wednesday Bully about hooning in Molindinar/Arundel, if the government stuck a speed camera there it would certainly slow the perps down. But it won’t happen because they make more money catching people rolling down the hills on the M1, Safety cameras you know. Daz Tallai

All good to say we need more CCTV, but just stop for a moment and think of the consequence that may happening in years to come. CCTV can be used for facial recognition and therefore as a control and monitoring device intruding on all peoples lives. Time for governments to get out of our lives. Want to fix Hooning, crush their cars on the first offence, simple. The Thinker.

Can someone please enlighten me as to why the GC Waterways Authority is organising concerts and gigs at all? Is this part of their mandate? Better off sticking to the Broadwater!

SPIT CONCERT TRANSPORT!! Boats can move up to 140 passengers at a time IF the waterways used common sense and allowed lager boats that 24m long to use the berth at the spot. It is well constructed and looking at the piles & berth length it appears it could handle vessels to 35m. The channel is adequate but the rules for boat length instead of weight on berth seems silly. Driver

Police officers and school teachers should be free to concentrate on their respective core businesses unhindered by bulls**t administrative procedures whose only purpose is to justify the existence of executives.

One way to stop traffic congestion on the Spit. Have the entertainment at another venue. Barney

You only have to see the prolonged hysteria around Princess Kate’s family photo to realise how pathetic and celebrity obsessed the media is in Australia. Martin Oxenford

A Barbie doll version of Queen Camilla ? How scary is that!

I must be a masochist watching Australian Idol again this year. Voters have continued their proud tradition of eliminating better performers and will probably choose the wrong winner. But then Australians in general have never been very good at identifying and supporting our real superstars until overseas fans did it for them.

A lot of punters out there in financial circles are predicting higher and higher valuations and growth in speculative assets. Why? Because it is good for business. They know that is not how it works but dare not say it for fear it may spark an inevitable downturn.

The problem with business is profit will always take precedence over customer service. That is why call centres with unreasonably long wait times have proliferated and offices with face to face customer service officers have closed.

So for years it was called climate warming but the climate did not really get any warmer so the woke joke changed it to climate change did nobody explain to the climate brains trust that the climate changes every day in every city and country all around the world. Mr MF

Discussing nuclear power is a huge waste of energy, pun intended. Just quickly consider the myriad problems of cost blowouts, lengthy delays and dreadful waste of taxpayers’ money making new nuclear power stations around the world the most costly power stations on earth. Then nip this crazy idea in the bud.

What is it with the texters and their fear of nuclear power? There’s about 30 countries that have it and there’s 450 reactors on the planet. We aren’t all frying, and more people have been

killed by lithium ion batteries in the last 6 months than all the deaths from nuclear reactors ever. 30 deaths and all from Chernobyl. Peter

Still waiting for my $275 cheaper electricity bill lol . How gullible are people I guess pigs fly too . 4221

To the idiot masquerading as woke waldo, by your reckoning if President Trump is re-elected the world will burn. Didn’t happen first time did it drongo. He left America in a far better situation than he found it. Cluey.

Woke Waldo is sounding more like Mr McGoo with every posting Vern S

I’ve got a natellite savigator but have absolutely no idea how to work it because it didn’t come with a rubber band. IT.

Thurston , just how many weeks banned would satisfy you for making a grown man cry? Penalty is all about learning your lesson , 8 wks is plenty.

Oh my gawd. Bloody hell. Hooley dooley. The sky is falling. Somebody said monkey. Bring out the firing squad the hangman the guillotine and extremely loud and self opinionated self promoting experts demanding justice. Grow up and get a grip

8 weeks suspension a huge victory for the woke brigade now running the country.

It’s all good and well to have jet skis at the ABB next year . But if Mother Nature comes to the party it doesn’t matter if there ripple riding one footers . Surely they need a back up venue it’s not always going to 6 foot
